Aisling Bea

Aisling is a popular Irish comedian who has been around for some time. Her birthplace was in Kildare Ireland on the 16th of March 1984. She has been on QI together with Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan (born 16 March 1984) more popularly known as Aisling Bea, is an Irish actress writer and comedian. Bea started her stand-up career in 2011after having appeared as a guest on a variety of Irish TV shows as well as British series from 2009. In 2012, she began appearing in sketch comedy shows as well as sitcoms and similar shows. In 2012, after she won an award at Edinburgh Comedy Awards (ECA) and began to be featured often in various panel shows. She's been part of 8 Out of 10 Cats since 2016, and she's an extremely popular contestant on its sister show 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Her parents were Brian O'Sullivan and Helen O'Sullivan. Sinead is the younger of her siblings. She was the winner of the So You think You're Funny Award twice. She uses the surnamed Bea to honor her late father. Aisling Cliodhnadh was born the 16th of March, 1984, in Kildare Town in County Kildare. Bea's father Brian passed away when he was just three years old. He was a horse veterinary. Bea wasn't told the particulars of his death before she reached the age of 13. In 2017, she published an article in The Guardian about the suicide of her father's family. She also adopted her stage name Bea in tribute. Bea (and her younger sister Sinead) was raised within the home of Helen Moloney, a educator and jockey trainer who was also a professional jockey. She and her family loved horses, races and racing. When she was a child, Bea worked as an assistant tour guide for the Irish National Stud however she was aware from an early stage that she was not keen on the sport of racing for a profession, but instead loved performing.
